Registration, refreshments, (re)connect with fellow cakers, AND a free massage session to start the day off well (these sessions will be bookable in advance). Please remember to bring your business cards for easy info-swapping with new cake friends!

We’ll start with an introduction to the day with hosts Christine & Phil Jensen, and a word from the team at Cake Stuff (who are kindly sponsoring the event).

9:45 - Learning from the best, talks & workshops

Our time together will begin with three brilliant business experts who are masters in their fields.  Each of our speakers will share their hard earned wisdom that addresses key business needs. They’ll then follow these insightful talks with topical workshops. These are practical learning experiences for business shaping results.

All three workshops will run at the same time. Ticket holders will have the chance to SELECT ONE workshop in advance.

  • Slay your cake photography dragons and sell Your WORK

    Practical tips to make your instagram feed sing. Learn the art of great instagram photography from industry legend Matt Inwood.

  • Eat your way to a better business.

    Learn how food can help you win the cake business marathon with nutrition expert Emily Fawell.

  • How to say ‘I’m a Cake Maker’ with confidence

Clear the confidence barrier and learn how to communicate with conviction. Heather White will be sharing vital skills to communicating and building business relationships with ease.

12:00 Lunch!

Great food, refreshments, and a chance to connect (& reconnect) with fellow industry friends. There’s further opportunity for free massage sessions during the lunch hour (these sessions will be bookable in advance).


The Afternoon


1:00 - Interview with Rosalind Miller

After being made redundant from her lecturing post in Graphic Design, Rosalind turned her attention to cupcakes. In the last decade she has grown her business from a family endeavour on her kitchen table in Greenwich, to regular international deliveries. Ever-curious host Christine Jensen will ask the questions we all want to know about her journey; her highs, lows and the behind the scenes reality of running a world class cake business.

One of the biggest challenges in business is how to compete well and still maintain good relationships. Particularly in the world of cake! Christine and Phil will share from their experience of doing just that and how great cake community connections can help your business flourish.

2:30pm - Panel Discussion: Cake – The Big Picture!

This will be a lively panel discussion of industry leaders from a variety of types of cake businesses, with a chance to submit your burning questions in advance! Show no mercy, ask what you will, they’re not called hot seats for nothing!

3:45 - Expert Coaching Intensives

This final session is chock full of wisdom and provides the opportunity to have in-depth discussions with leading experts on specific business topics.

Made up of three intensive 15 minute coaching sessions for smaller groups, ticket holders can pre-book their place, giving the chance to sit down with one of our experts face to face, and get answers on key business issues.

Our experts will do all they can to outline the important aspects of the subject, and then answer any burning questions on their topic. Groups will be limited to 8 people round a table at a time to enable rich and fruitful conversations. Sessions will run at 3:45pm, 4.05pm, 4:25pm. You can book into more than one session, dependent on demand.
